Superiore is made of slightly dried Rondinella, Corvinone, and Corvina grapes pressed and aged in steel. It has a Ripasso-like feel nose and taste profile without the Ripasso price tag.

Il Monte Caro chose to age this wine in steel with virtually no oak, which allows the aromas of black cherry and cranberry to come through stronger than you'd expect. Age up to 5 years or drink now. We recommend pairing this wine with stews, hard cheeses, or pasta dishes in a red sauce.
